About the event

Being an ethical and inclusive researcher means that the individuals we work with are treated with respect, fairness, and dignity. It prevents harm, reduces bias, and helps us to carry out research that truly reflects the diversity of human experiences. By embracing inclusivity and adhering to ethical standards, psychologists can build trust and empower marginalised communities

Through attending this session you will:

·         Learn about how psychology can (and sometimes fails to) reflect the experiences of people from different backgrounds, cultures, and identities.

·         Understand the role of bias, power, equity, and representation matter in research.
